Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Georg Knox (ranked 4104 p4p, 3839 weight class) and Sendo Tackashei (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Georg Knox!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Sendo Tackashei!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Alan Glass and Chris Downing.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Knox dodges the punch combination from Tackashei.
Knox takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Knox will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

and Knox counters with a nice double leg into guard.
Tackashei wants to get back to his feet but Knox is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Knox passes Tackashei's right leg, so he's now in half guard.

Knox takes the fight into the clinch.
Knox has Tackashei pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Tackashei manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.
Tackashei gets through Knox's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Knox is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Tackashei pulls him back up using the underhooks.

Tackashei felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it.

What can Tackashei do to escape this position? He's going to have to figure it out pretty quick if he wants to stay in the fight!

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round!

Tackashei feints a jab promting Knox to slip. Tackashei then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Knox slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.
Tackashei lands with a straight right. Knox didn't see that one coming.

Tackashei closes the distance and pushes Knox back into the cage.
Tackashei is looking to break free of the clinch but Knox has double underhooks.

Tackashei stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Tackashei wants it to stay on the feet.
Tackashei drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Knox defends it well.
Knox tries to close the distance and clinch up but Tackashei swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Tackashei throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.

As Tackashei tries to get set, Knox tries to push him back and clinch up but Tackashei manages to avoid the attempt.
Knox swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Tackashei makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Tackashei scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Knox doesn't seem bothered though.

Tackashei lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards.
Tackashei manages to get underhooks and slows down the pace for a moment.

Knox manages to pull guard.
Knox trying to keep a closed guard but Tackashei is proving a slippery customer.

Tackashei stands up from guard. Let's bang!
Knox swats away the attempt to clinch by Tackashei.

Tackashei tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Knox paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Knox closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Knox lands in his opponent's guard.
Knox slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
Tackashei wants to stand up but Knox is controlling him.
Knox not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.

Sendo Tackashei comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Tackashei has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
