The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Takyan shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Wellington napping and manages to drive through into side control!
Wellington sneaks out the side door and pushes Takyan away - he's back to his feet. The crowd show their appreciation for the escape.
Edward Wellington seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Takyan defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Wellington.
Takyan replies with a solid counter kick to the body but Wellington blocks it well.
Wellington lands a nice leg kick that just misses Takyan's sensitive parts.
