Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Mike LaBomba (ranked 4149 p4p, 5347 weight class) and Diego Vargas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Vargas has chosen "Panther Like A Panther" by Run The Jewels ft. Trina as his entrance music. Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the prize buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Diego Vargas!
The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, Stewart Dunkirk and Chris Downing.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Vargas throws out a loose jab but LaBomba uses good head movement to avoid it.
LaBomba changes levels looking for a counter takedown but doesn't commit.
Vargas lands a jab.
Vargas misses with a jab, cross combination.
Nice defenses there by LaBomba.
LaBomba attempts a counter takedown but Vargas avoids it well and moves away.
LaBomba fails with a takedown attempt.
LaBomba on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Vargas connects with a jab.
Vargas has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
Vargas lands with an uppercut that bounces LaBomba off the cage and back into range.
Vargas looks to land a left hand but LaBomba moved out of range nicely.
LaBomba attempts a counter takedown but Vargas avoids it well and moves away.

LaBomba slips under a jab.
Vargas misses with a looping left.
LaBomba closes this distance looking for a takedown but Vargas circles away.
Vargas looks to land a right hand but LaBomba moved out of range.
LaBomba drops down looking for a counter takedown but Vargas sprawls and moves away.
Vargas lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
LaBomba moves out of range of the strikes.
LaBomba tries to counter with a takedown but Vargas is quick to defend against it.
Vargas misses with an uppercut. LaBomba saw that one coming.
LaBomba half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range.
Vargas scores with the left hand. LaBomba knows he should have avoided that one.
Vargas dips to his left and cracks LaBomba with an uppercut!
LaBomba is rocked!
LaBomba leaves his chin hanging out and Vargas seizes the opportunity with an uppercut! LaBomba crumbles to the floor in a heap, and the referee steps in and tends to the downed fighter! What a knockout!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:50 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Diego Vargas!
After winning the bout, Diego Vargas thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
