Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Brayden Smith (ranked 1486 p4p, 3592 weight class) and War Monger (ranked 167 p4p, 356 weight class). Smith comes to the cage accompanied by Thick of it. War Monger told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

The judges for this bout are Yasuomi Hirokawa, Taro Takaoka and Yukihiro Shimada.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Monger lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.
It looks like Brayden Smith has been cut.
Smith fails in his attempt to clinch.
Monger doesn't manage to clinch there - Smith circles away.
Nice sprawl there from Monger as Smith shoots in.
Smith looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Smith takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Monger tries to clinch up.
Smith fails with the takedown.
Monger dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Smith is breathing heavily.
Monger ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
Smith on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Smith showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Monger.
Smith half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range.
Monger dips to his left and cracks Smith with an uppercut!
Smith circles away from the clinch attempt.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Monger scores with a sloppy right hand. Smith should have avoided that one.
Monger is really turning it up, unleashing another crisp combination which drops Smith like a ton of bricks! The referee dives in to stop the fight, saving Smith from another fist facial!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:13 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). War Monger!
In defeat, Brayden Smith stepped up to the mic, saying 'Bro what the sigma'.
