This TWGC bout is 1 fifteen minute round in the super heavyweight division. Introducing today's competitors. And in the blue corner, fighting out of Las Vegas, with a TWGC record of 0 wins and 0 losses; Pope Callixtus! The judges for this bout are Percy O'Donnell, Jack Bonds and Timothy Bukovac.
The fighters bow as they face eachother in the middle of the mat and we are under way. Durant shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Callixtus defends it nicely. Callixtus steps in looking to clinch after the strikes miss from Durant.
Callixtus pushes Durant up against the cage in a clinch. Durant is trying to pull guard but Callixtus turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch.

Callixtus is looking to finish the fight by rear naked choke. Durant knows exactly what he's got planned though, so he's defending well. Maybe a few strikes would soften Durant for a finish. Durant defends a rear naked choke attempt by controlling one of Callixtus's arms. Callixtus gets his hands free as Durant looks to control. Callixtus keeps control of the position as Durant tries to break free.
Durant tries to escape the position - he's now mounted. Is that better or worse? Hard to tell! Durant tries to hold on but Callixtus pushes him away. Callixtus trying to control but Durant is having none of it.

Durant wants to pass to mount but Callixtus is defending the position. Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Durant in particular looking to stall.
 That's fourteen minutes gone in the round. Callixtus makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Callixtus. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Durant pushes down on Callixtus's leg and manages to get into half guard. Durant tries to pass the half guard into mount. Callixtus knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.
Durant is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Callixtus has managed to free his arm - good work. Durant takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Durant wants to pass to mount but Callixtus is defending the position.
