The official calls the fighters to the middle and the contest is under way.
Doe misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Hall trying to secure his dominant position for a moment - making sure Doe doesn't escape.
Hall seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Doe for as long as he can get away with.

I really don't envy Doe right now.
Hall just keeping the dominant position. He can't wait too long though, otherwise the referee will stand them back up.

Doe is in a world of trouble here. He's outmatched on the ground here and he'd better get Hall off his back sharpish unless he wants to be submitted.
