Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jumanji Mowala (ranked 3911 p4p, 5239 weight class) and Tripp Melendez (ranked 376 p4p, 432 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Jumanji Mowala!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Tripp Melendez!
The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, Tiny Johnson and Alan Glass.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mowala tries to clinch but Melendez is having none of it.
Mowala shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Melendez counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Mowala throws a leg kick but Melendez moved away.
Melendez looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.

Melendez ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Mowala moves away.

Jumanji Mowala seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Mowala shoots in for a takedown but Melendez shows good takedown defense.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Mowala goes for a takedown attempt but Melendez pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Mowala looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Melendez is fending him off so far but Mowala persists. Nope, Melendez circles away and we're back to standing.
Melendez drops Mowala with a beautiful combination! Mowala stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Melendez is looking for the KO!
Mowala is rocked!

and Melendez counters with a big left hand that crumples Mowala! He was out before he hit the floor! Brutal knockout!
