Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 5 - 0, fighting out of London, Bobby Gaines!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Super Takyan!
The judges for this bout are James Atkins, Sam Margolis and Donald Grub.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gaines throws a head kick that misses.
Takyan follows through with a counter body kick but it doesn't land.
Gaines shoots in for a takedown but Takyan shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Takyan circles away from the clinch attempt
and Takyan counters with a nice kick to the body.
Takyan closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Gaines did well to prevent Takyan getting side control.
Gaines is looking to get back to is feet but Takyan passes into side control.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

Gaines is positioning himself to get back to half guard.

Gaines is letting Takyan control him for a moment.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Gaines is letting Takyan control him for a moment.
It looks like Takyan might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.

Gaines is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
Takyan controls the position.
Takyan's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Takyan feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Gaines is looking to stand back up... there's a bit of a scramble and Takyan dives into side control.
Gaines really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Gaines is breathing heavily.
A lull in the action here as Takyan stalls from top position.

That's time! Gaines's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Takyan gets the takedown into side control.
Takyan controls the position from side control.
Takyan with more of the same as he continues to hold on.

Let's hope that Takyan has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Takyan looking to score a takedown here. Gaines is defending well but Takyan drives through and ends up in Gaines's guard.
Gaines wants to get back to his feet but he's too absorbed in his own little project and Takyan manages to pass to side control.
Takyan is controlling the pace.

We're seeing a lot of stalling here from Takyan.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Gaines is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Takyan scores with a couple of nice shots.

Takyan perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.
Takyan is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position.
Well, if Takyan is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight� I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza� Yum. Can't wait.

Super Takyan showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!
Takyan throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Gaines tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Takyan is in Gaines's guard.
Takyan is standing up over Gaines. Gaines looks to escape but Takyan dives into side control.

Takyan cracks Gaines with an elbow. That is naaassty.

Takyan is working to tighten his grip on Gaines's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Gaines has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Takyan is really squeezing tight and eventually Gaines passes out! Takyan breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!
