And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Caio Santos!
The judges for this bout are John Kavanagh, David Schapiro and Reed Andrews.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Santos tries to bum rush Cruz with a series of wild strikes but Cruz uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Caio Santos seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Santos closes the distance and lands a one-two.
Santos throws a right hand that Cruz ducks under and follows up with a left that Cruz also avoids with ease.
Cruz cracks Santos with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.
Santos throws a series of punches but Cruz moves out of range.
Cruz slips a jab from Santos.
Santos lands a jab.
Santos throws a right and a left that both miss.
Santos just misses with a punch to the body.
Cruz feinted with a counter takedown.
Cruz shoots in but Santos avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Cruz drops Santos with a beautiful combination! Santos stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Cruz is looking for the KO!
It looks like Caio Santos has been cut.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Cruz uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Santos.
Santos takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Cruz pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
Santos lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Cruz at a distance.
Cruz scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.

Santos just misses with a punch to the body.
Cruz drives through and clinches with Santos against the cage.
Santos wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Cruz has him pressed against the cage.
Cruz keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Santos's efforts to push away.
Cruz manages to get underhooks and slows down the pace for a moment.
Cruz has Santos pressed against the cage, preventing Santos from circling away and getting back to striking at range.
Santos breaks the clinch.
Santos throws a left and a right that both miss
and Cruz counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Santos looks winded!
Santos swats away the attempt to clinch by Cruz.
Cruz has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.
Caio Santos is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Cruz is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched.
Cruz breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Cruz lands with a big right hook that stumbles Santos - he's out on his feet here! Cruz follows up with another monster hook that separates Santos from consciousness! Santos falls, almost in slow motion to the canvas! Cruz stands and admires his work as the crowd go wild.
