Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Mehdi Kanaani (ranked 2941 p4p, 5348 weight class) and Krzysztof Zakrzewski (ranked 290 p4p, 434 weight class). Kanaani comes to the cage accompanied by Dr. Dre ft. Snoop Dogg - Nuthin' But A G Thang. Mehdi Kanaani had real problems making weight for this fight. After initially coming in at 157.9lbs, he had two hours to make the official fight weight. He made it but it will have taken a lot out of him to cut those extra few pounds. There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kanaani misses with a straight left.
Zakrzewski throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Kanaani throws a jab but it's blocked by Zakrzewski.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Zakrzewski.
Zakrzewski looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.
Both fighters circling a little - Zakrzewski finishes the exchange with a kick to the body.

A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Zakrzewski.
Kanaani cracks Zakrzewski with a nasty uppercut that draws ooohs from the crowd and sends Zakrzewski tumbling backwards onto the mat. He tries to recover but Kanaani pounces and lands a hail of unanswered strikes that forces the referee to step in to end the fight! Zakrzewski is not happy but he gave the referee no choice!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:57 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Mehdi Kanaani!
