And in the blue corner, fighting out of New York, with a TWGC record of 6 wins and 1 losses; Aydin Wolfe! The judges for this bout are Eddie Farnsworth, Jorge Garcia and Steve Montenegro.
Let's get this grappling contest under way! Who will be victorious? Wolfe moves in looking to clinch but Shimada pushes him off. Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
Wolfe forces Shimada back against the cage and clinches. Wolfe is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Shimada to keep the fight standing.
Wolfe pulls guard effortlessly. Shimada content to stall in guard here. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Shimada trying to control the position from guard on top but Wolfe is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Shimada preventing the sweep. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Shimada is pushing down on Wolfe's leg trying to pass to half guard. Wolfe is fighting to maintain full guard but Shimada has managed to sneak the leg through.
 That's one minute gone in the round. Wolfe tries to get to full guard but Shimada has control of the leg. Wolfe is persisting with the attempt to improve his position. Shimada has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount. Score +3 for passing guard: Shimada (3) vs (0) Wolfe The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Shimada content just to control the position here. Shimada prevents Wolfe from getting the reversal.

Shimada definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
 That's three minutes gone in the round. Shimada just keeping the dominant position. He can't wait too long though, otherwise the referee will stand them back up.

Shimada is staying calm and holding on to the back position, whilst working on a rear naked choke. Wolfe is defending well though. Shimada let's go of the attempt for now. Shimada is looking cool and calm here, just waiting for a good opportunity to attack and finish the fight from this dominant position.

Shimada has both hooks in and is working for a choke. Wolfe is in real trouble here. Shimada gets an arm under the chin and tightens the submission attempt... is this the end? Yes, Wolfe is tapping out! Shimada wins by rear naked choke!
