Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Kari Mountain (ranked 2675 p4p, 5080 weight class) and Andor Kovacs (ranked 288 p4p, 442 weight class). Kari Mountain could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Andor Kovacs's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 13 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Kari Mountain! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 28 - 42 - 1, fighting out of Montreal, Andor Kovacs! The judges for this bout are Alec Ball, Robert Douchet and William Peck.
 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Mountain throws out a token jab with nothing on it. Kovacs throws a series of punches but Mountain avoids them all with ease. Mountain misses with a series of wild punches.
Mountain moves out of the way of the counter high kick fromKovacs. Mountain thumps Kovacs with a low kick. Mountain lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!
Kovacs fails in his attempt to clinch. Mountain throws a series of punches but Kovacs avoids them all with ease. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Kovacs closes the distance looking to clinch and Mountain counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Kovacs shoots in for a takedown but Mountain shows good takedown defense.

Uppercuts and crosses smash into Kovacs's face. Kovacs staggers backwards, shaken. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Kovacs has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Kovacs there as he acknowledges the shot. Mountain lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.

 That's three minutes gone in the round. Mountain keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Kovacs. Mountain fakes a jab and scores with a low kick. Kovacs throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Mountain stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Mountain wants it to stay on the feet. Kovacs looks winded! Mountain tries to bum rush Kovacs with a series of wild strikes but Kovacs uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Kovacs tries to clinch up. The fight stays on the outside here - Kovacs looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Mountain is looking for a counter combo. Mountain lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

Mountain connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Kovacs showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Mountain.
Mountain paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button. Mountain darts in and out, connecting with a jab. Mountain connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son. Mountain buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Kari Mountain dominated that round. The cut man is working on Kari Mountain's cut. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Mountain throws a leg kick but Kovacs sees it coming and moves out of range. Kovacs tries to clinch but Mountain moves out of range. Both these guys seem content to just stand up and trade with each other but Kovacs might want to think about changing up his gameplan a bit because over the course of the fight, Mountain has got the better of the exchanges. Mountain misses with a takedown attempt and Kovacs counters with a head kick. That will keep Mountain thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks! Kovacs tries to clinch up but Mountain circles away and keeps his distance. Kari Mountain is winning the standup battle so far. Mountain looks to land a combination but Kovacs avoids it well. Mountain is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Kovacs can do to turn this around? Mountain will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Mountain will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Kovacs up against the cage. The crowd are getting pretty annoyed with Mountain for his constant stalling in the clinch and are voicing their displeasure. A nice left hand lands by Kovacs.

He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Mountain is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches.
 That's two minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Kovacs misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.

A quick step to the side and Mountain tries to counter with a shot to the body but it doesn't connect. Kovacs lands with a slapping head kick. Mountain looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight. Kovacs misses with a straight right. Kovacs avoids a punch combination nicely.

Mountain feints and then cracks Kovacs's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Kovacs down. Kovacs misses with a straight right. And that's the end of the fight! Kari Mountain showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Mountain, winning every round. Will the judges agree?
