And in the blue corner, fighting out of New York, with a TWGC record of 3 wins and 4 losses; Lyric Mann! The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, Percy O'Donnell and Timothy Bukovac.
The official calls the fighters to the middle and the contest is under way.
Mann closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Guy quickly recovers to half guard. Score +2 for takedown into guard / half guard: Guy (0) vs (2) Mann The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Guy works his way to full guard. Good work. Guy can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Mann controls the pace.
Guy had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Mann defends it easily.
Guy is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Mann defends well. Guy not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Mann got a little sloppy there for a moment and Guy has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Mann has managed to get both his arms back between Guy's legs - danger averted. Guy can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Mann controls the pace. Mann really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Guy. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Guy is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Mann not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.

Mann working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Guy doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Guy manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Mann's guard. Mann keeping hold of Guy's head, controlling as best he can. Guy frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount. Mann is squirming around, avoiding Guy's attempts to control the action.
