Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between John Thomas (ranked 5365 p4p, 2661 weight class) and Eric Arthur Blair (ranked 456 p4p, 287 weight class). Eric Arthur Blair has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with John Thomas's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, John Thomas! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Eric Arthur Blair! The judges for this bout are Eddie Farnsworth, John Roberts and Jorge Garcia.
 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A combination from Blair does no damage. Thomas looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this!
Thomas gets the takedown into side control. Blair can't do much from the bottom here. Blair tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Thomas wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. Blair struggling a bit here. Blair is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Thomas off and has taken his back! So, who will make the next big move? In this position it could be crucial.
Thomas definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight. Well, with Blair on his back, surely it's only a matter of time before Thomas is tapping out... Can he escape the position?
 That's one minute gone in the round. Blair gets his hands free as Thomas looks to control. Blair slows the pace down here. Having a little breather whilst he's in a dominant position, looking to rest and regain some energy, ready to go for the finish.
Let's hope that Blair has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Blair is persistently looking for the submission but Thomas is defending it well.
Blair looking to break Thomas's wrist control so he can sink in the choke. Thomas remaining controlled and patient though - he really has to keep calm otherwise Blair will wrap this one up with the rear naked choke!
 That's two minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Blair has good solid back control here.

A bit of a pause in the action here. Blair controlling the positon. We're seeing a lot of stalling here from Blair.
 That's three minutes gone in the round. Blair's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.
Blair is looking for the choke from the back position but Thomas is controlling his hands well.

Thomas is staying cool under pressure, defending well against the rear naked choke attempt from his opponent.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Blair is riding his opponent, not letting Thomas buck him off.
 That's four minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. More stalling from Blair.
Blair is remaining active here, looking for the choke. The more discerning members of the crowd will appreciate his efforts.

Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Eric Arthur Blair dominated that round. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!
Jab by Blair. Blair is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot. Eric Arthur Blair seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Blair lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook. Blair wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection. Blair dips down and scores with a jab to the body. Blair scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction. Thomas takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Blair lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.
 Thomas is rocked! Blair is throwing a storm of strikes! Right hook, left hook and follows it up with a spinning back fist! Thomas hits the canvas like a rag doll! And just like that, this one is over!
