Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 9 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Kai Kataski!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 14 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Mikael Li!
The judges for this bout are Ian Loll, Dillan Fox and Alec Ball.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kataski looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Li!
Kataski wants to lay and pray for a moment but Li keeps working.
Kataski tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Kataski has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Li taking punishment in the form of punches.
Li tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Kataski wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
Li manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu!
Li wants to free his trapped foot but Kataski is holding on for dear life with his legs.
Kataski tries to get to full guard but Li has control of the leg.
Kataski is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Li's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Li's back!
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Kataski lands a punch to the side of the head from the back.
Kataski is cranking Li's head sideways - that looks painful. He's managed to get his other arm under the chin and this looks bad for Li! He's tightened the choke and Li is tapping out!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Kai Kataski!
