Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Dawindi Buktot (ranked 23449 p4p, 23402 weight class) and Kulata Bitok (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kulata Bitok is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 52 - 80 - 6, fighting out of Las Vegas, Dawindi Buktot!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 47 - 83 - 9, fighting out of Las Vegas, Kulata Bitok!
The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, Cecil Peabody and Chris Downing.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight.
Bitok has his takedown stuffed
and Buktot finishes the little exchange by landing a big kick to the body.

Buktot looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Bitok!
Bitok is holding Buktot down, trying to stall.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Buktot is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Bitok's shoulder. That is not cool.

Bitok shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Buktot as he jumps to the side.
Buktot throws a quick counter kick to the body but Bitok avoids it.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Bitok bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.

Buktot tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Bitok wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
You can see the frustration on Buktot's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
Bitok tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Buktot defends well and Bitok ends up having to push Buktot into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Buktot shoots in but Bitok avoids the takedown attempt easily.

Buktot closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Bitok to the mat! Bitok manages to get full guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Bitok seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.
Bitok can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Buktot controls the pace.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close second round but I would say that Dawindi Buktot will probably get the nod.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

Bitok has Buktot pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Buktot manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.

Buktot escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Bitok will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

Dawindi Buktot has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Kulata Bitok.

Buktot shoots for a double leg takedown but Bitok sprawls well. He's pushed Buktot's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Buktot shoots in but Bitok avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Bitok steps in looking to counter with the mid kick but it doesn't connect.
Bitok misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Bitok shoots in looking for a takedown but Buktot manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Bitok's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Buktot fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Kulata Bitok seems to be getting the better of the standup.
Bitok thuds a mid kick into his opponent's body. That will wear on Buktot if he has to take too many more of those.

Bitok is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Buktot's half guard.

We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
