Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Norman Jalisco (ranked 1891 p4p, 2031 weight class) and Alexander Njord (ranked 211 p4p, 225 weight class). I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Norman Jalisco!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Alexander Njord!
The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, George Francis and Daniel Franklin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jalisco works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.
It looks like Alexander Njord has been cut.
Jalisco thuds a left hand into Njord's body.
Njord has done a lot of speed work in the buildup to this fight.
Jalisco staying out of range there.
Njord misses with a right hand
and Jalisco cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Njord misses with a looping left.

Jalisco looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Jalisco moves away from the strike by Njord.

Jalisco ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Njord moves away.
Njord appears to be waiting to throw a counter punch to the body.

A looping hook to the body misses from Jalisco. Njord does a little dance to reset his feet.
A little jabbing left from Njord on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.

Njord throws an overhand right that lands on Jalisco's shoulder, as Jalisco tries to avoid the shot.
Jalisco looks to score with a jab to the body but Njord is just out of range.
Njord swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made.

Jalisco swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Njord waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Jalisco.
A counter left hand to the body from Jalisco misses its target.
Jalisco tries to move into range but Njord moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Njord throws a nice looking combination but Jalisco bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
A quick step to the side and Jalisco tries to counter with a shot to the body but it doesn't connect.

A jab from Njord finds it's way through Jalisco's defenses.
Jalisco connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.
Jalisco feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Njords jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!

And an attempted straight right on the counter from Njord! But no joy.
Jalisco takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.

and Jalisco counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.

Njord looks to score with a jab to the body but Jalisco is just out of range.
It looked like Jalisco wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.
Jalisco slips under a jab.
Jalisco's corner calls for a 1, 2 combination and Jalisco duly obliges.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Njord cracks Jalisco with an open hand slap.
Njord scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Jalisco doesn't seem bothered though.
Njord just misses with a punch to the body.
Njord comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Jalisco throws a looping overhand right but Njord ducks down to avoid it.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Alexander Njord will probably get the nod.
Both fighters have cut men working on them during the interval.

Jalisco takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.

Njord will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Jalisco went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Jalisco walks forward and throws a big overhand right! Njord drops to the floor like a sack of potatoes! Jalisco swarms on him with more punches until the referee wrestles him away from Njord's unconscious body! Wow, that was brutal!

Norman Jalisco was full of energy after the big win and talked about how he thinks he can do big things in this sport. The crowd were appreciative of his determination to succeed.
