Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Bart Detweiler (ranked 1115 p4p, 1912 weight class) and Bruce Kiwi (ranked 138 p4p, 219 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Kiwi's choice of entrance music: Reaper. Bart Detweiler is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples... Tweaking his own nipples that is.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 12 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Bart Detweiler!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 24 - 13 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Bruce Kiwi!
The judges for this bout are Taro Takaoka, Kenichi Hosakawa and Shigeki Fujiwara.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kiwi moves away from the strike by Detweiler.
Kiwi flicks out a counter leg kick but Detweiler steps away.
Detweiler misses with a jab, cross combination.
A little jabbing left from Kiwi on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.
Detweiler thows a left - swing and a miss!
Kiwi pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Kiwi defending well as Detweiler loads up on a big left hand.
Kiwi looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.
Kiwi misses with the body kick
and Detweiler connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Bart Detweiler seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Kiwi, as that shot connected.
It looks like Bart Detweiler has been cut.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Kiwi clobbers Detweiler with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
Kiwi ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Kiwi uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Detweiler.
A little jabbing left from Kiwi on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.

Detweiler looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Detweiler is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Kiwi.
Detweiler slips a straight right by Kiwi.
Kiwi misses with a few strikes there.
Oooh a lovely combination from Detweiler sends Kiwi down but not out. Detweiler dives into side control looking to finish.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Detweiler cracks Kiwi with a big right hand but Kiwi just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.
Kiwi is trying to control Detweiler's posture but Detweiler avoids it.

Kiwi tries to get back to half guard but can't.

Detweiler decides to stand back up. Detweiler steps back and let's Kiwi get back to his feet.
Kiwi misses with a low kick as Detweiler jumps back.
A nice leg kick lands there from Detweiler.
Detweiler misses with a hook.
A little jabbing left from Kiwi on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.
Kiwi throws a predictable looking body shot
and Detweiler counters with a stiff right hand.
Kiwi throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land.
Kiwi steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Detweiler.
Detweiler comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Detweiler throws a poor cross that misses
and Kiwi counters with a nice uppercut.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
Detweiler loads up on a big right hand but Kiwi slips the punch.

Kiwi throws a lazy uppercut
enabling Detweiler to counter with a crisp jab.
Detweiler throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Kiwi misses with an uppercut
enabling Detweiler to counter with a crisp jab.
Kiwi throws a leg kick
and Detweiler rattles Kiwi with a well-timed uppercut counter. - Kiwi tries to back away and recover but his hands are down low and he gets tagged again, sending him stumbling down to the canvas. Detweiler dives in after him and quickly finishes the job with a trio of brutal punches, leaving Kiwi stiff and motionless on the mat!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:39 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Bart Detweiler!
After winning the bout, Bart Detweiler thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
In defeat, Bruce Kiwi stepped up to the mic, saying 'I had COVID'.
