Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Pykky Kalla (ranked 3757 p4p, 2220 weight class) and Bobby Santino (ranked 393 p4p, 256 weight class). Santino is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Daddy Why You Die?. The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 14 - 7 - 1, fighting out of Hilo, Bobby Santino!
The judges for this bout are Darius Henderson, Hugh Johnson and Eliza Hachem.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Santino misses with a straight left.
Santino rushes Kalla and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.

We've been hearing reports that Kalla has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.

Santino throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Kalla.
Kalla swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

A short body shot lands from Kalla as the two fighters clinch.

Kalla shoots in and drives through. Santino sprawls well.
The fighters circling - Santino throws out the jab but it was never going to land.

Santino tries to get back to his feet but has found himself mounted instead. Damn, that's gotta suck.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Kalla cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!

Kalla has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Kalla tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
Santino is in a horrible position here. Kalla smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.

Santino really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Kalla. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Santino is trying to escape but when you're mounted that's not too easy.
Kalla looking to control but Santino is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.
Santino tries to buck Kalla off so he can stand up but Kalla has got his back now - this could be big trouble! He's slapped on a rear naked choke that looks really tight! Santino falls backwards, slamming Kalla to the mat but Kalla holds on tight! Santino is forced to tap and this one is all over!
