Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Wesley Crusher (ranked 1855 p4p, 2340 weight class) and Brooks Gallegos (ranked 195 p4p, 240 weight class). Crusher comes to the cage accompanied by Cypress Hill - Valley Of Chrome. Wesley Crusher has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Wesley Crusher! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Brooks Gallegos! The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, Gwen Towbar and Alan Glass.
 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Crusher keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Gallegos throws a lazy right hand but Crusher sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Crusher drives through with a takedown into guard. Crusher throws a strike but Gallegos rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
Crusher trying to keep a closed guard but Gallegos is proving a slippery customer.
Crusher seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.
Crusher looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Gallegos got a little sloppy there for a moment and Crusher has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Gallegos has managed to get both his arms back between Crusher's legs - danger averted.
Crusher working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Gallegos doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Gallegos manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Crusher lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Crusher's corner. There ya go! There ya go!
 That's two minutes gone in the round. Gallegos working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Crusher. Crusher with a flurry of punches that miss. Crusher throws an elbow that misses. Gallegos uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Crusher's guard. Nice move by Gallegos!
Crusher is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Crusher looking to hit a scissor sweep but Gallegos is one step ahead there. Crusher pulls Gallegos in close to prevent any damage.

Crusher is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Gallegos is aware though and is defending well. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Gallegos pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Crusher is keeping the position for now. Crusher manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Gallegos manages to get himself to full guard.
Crusher with a flurry of punches that miss. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Crusher accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Crusher has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Crusher throws a big elbow that misses.
 That's four minutes gone in the round. Crusher throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Crusher with a nice head shot there. We've been informed that Gallegos has been working hard on his conditioning in the buildup to the fight. Crusher is looking to advance position but Gallegos has hit a scissor sweep - now he's on top in mount!
Gallegos prevents Crusher from getting the reversal. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Crusher is working hard here to advance position. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Wesley Crusher dominated that round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Danga de danga de dang - Gallegos scores with a four punch combination!
 It looks like Wesley Crusher has been cut. Gallegos keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Gallegos looks like he wants to counter punch here.
Crusher bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Crusher trying to control the position but Gallegos is working away. Crusher throws a strike aimed at the side of Gallegos's head but Gallegos avoids it well. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Crusher scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at Gallegos to see if he's OK. Crusher works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head.
 That's one minute gone in the round. Crusher throwing shots but missing, from side control. Crusher fails to land a wild elbow strike.
Crusher in side control, throwing shots but Gallegos defends. Crusher in side control, trying to ground and pound but not landing this time. Gallegos is trying to improve his position. Crusher remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while. Wesley Crusher overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Crusher lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Gallegos down.
Crusher laying and praying for a moment but Gallegos takes advantage and regains half guard. Gallegos really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Crusher. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
 That's two minutes gone in the round. Crusher winds up and cracks Gallegos with a swinging punch to the side of the head. Crusher missing with the ground and pound from half guard. Crusher thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. Gallegos avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Crusher. Crusher stalling. Crusher thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Gallegos's head. Crusher sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Gallegos defending well though.
 That's three minutes gone in the round. Crusher lands strikes from half guard. Crusher sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Gallegos defending well though. Crusher trying to control the action but Gallegos is working from the bottom. Crusher throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. It really doesn't seem like the step up in weight is hurting Crusher here at all. He's more than holding his own against the bigger man. Gallegos moves into full guard.

The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet. Crusher stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Gallegos swivels though and keeps the full guard. Gallegos preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
 The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. The fighters circling - Gallegos throws out the jab but it was never going to land. Crusher tries to counter with a takedown but Gallegos is quick to defend against it. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Crusher fails with the takedown and Gallegos counters with a lovely straight right hand! And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Wesley Crusher dominated that second round. The cut man is working on Wesley Crusher's cut. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! This is the final round!

Crusher closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Gallegos to the mat! Gallegos manages to get full guard. Brooks Gallegos has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Wesley Crusher is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Crusher throws a big right hand that misses. Crusher pushing down on Gallegos's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Gallegos trying to hold on to Crusher's head to control him but Crusher postures up.

Gallegos defending well though. Crusher thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Gallegos's head. Crusher seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense. Crusher looking to pass the half guard. Not this time.
 That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Crusher controlling the pace. The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
 The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. Gallegos misses with an uppercut. Gallegos lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.
 That's three minutes gone in the round. Crusher will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Crusher feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Crusher is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. Gallegos keeping moving, preventing Crusher from controlling successfully. Crusher with a flurry of punches that miss. You can see the frustration on Gallegos's face as Crusher controls the position. Crusher in side control lands a decent elbow. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Gallegos seems a little lost for a moment, as Crusher dominates the positioning. Crusher working the head with strikes.
And that's the end of the fight! Wesley Crusher showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Crusher, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
