Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Cassius Fielder!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Luther Socippo!
The judges for this bout are Gregory Folan, Trevor Gratis and Steve Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Socippo shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Fielder eats them both and turns towards Socippo to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.
Fielder changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
Socippo misses with a right hand
and Fielder counters with a nice uppercut.
It looks like Luther Socippo has been cut.
Fielder avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Fielder throwing a counter right hand but Socippo manages to avoid it.
Socippo takes a swing at Fielder's ribcage but misses.
Luther Socippo seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
A swing and a miss from Fielder.
Fielder scores with a jab to the body.
We've been told by Fielder's head coaches at Temple of Fitness that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
Fielder throws out a loose jab but Socippo uses good head movement to avoid it.
Socippo jabs Fielder right on the nose. Fielder blinks but takes it well.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Fielder cracks Socippo with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Fielder has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Socippo to stand back up!
Socippo is rocked!
Fielder throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Socippo gets off balance looking for a body kick
and Fielder counters with a right hand from hell and Socippo is out cold! A vicious knockout!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:09 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Cassius Fielder!
A less than humble Cassius Fielder misjudged his post fight interview somewhat and came across a little too arrogant whilst trying to hype up his own abilities.
