Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Chuck Gracie (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bulk Bogan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Gracie comes into the arena with disturbed - down with the sickness blaring out of the sound system. Bogan is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Renunciation - Secret Chiefs 3. Bulk Bogan acknowledges the crowd's support as he enters the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bogan doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Bogan throws a sloppy body shot
and Gracie counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Bulk Bogan seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Gracie connects with the punch.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Bogan throws an overhand right that lands on Gracie's shoulder, as Gracie tries to avoid the shot.

Bogan keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.

The fighters circle momentarily. Bogan darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
Gracie connects with a jab.
Gracie takes a swing at Bogan's ribcage but misses.

It looks like Chuck Gracie has been cut.
Bogan feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Gracie sprawling to the canvas! Gracie rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Bogan finish him?!
Gracie throws a hook to the side of Bogan's head but Bogan sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Gracie throws a nice looking combination but Bogan bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Gracie misses with a looping left.
Gracie lands a jab to the head.
Bogan looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it.

Gracie stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.

Bogan throws a shot from downtown. Gracie moves away and avoids it.
Bogan throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Gracie counters with a takedown into side control.
Bogan looks gassed!
Gracie looking to punish the body of his opponent here but Bogan is avoiding damage well.
Gracie goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Bogan rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Gracie's guard! Nice work there by Bogan!
Gracie has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Gracie working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Bogan doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Bogan manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Gracie postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Bogan is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Gracie, into his guard.

Gracie tries to get to full guard but Bogan has control of the leg.
Gracie has a hand on Bogan's thigh, trying to get back to full guard. Bogan takes advantage of the position though and mounts him!
Bogan can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Gracie is looking to escape.

Gracie is in all sorts of trouble here.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Gracie swinging wildly from the bottom but he's not landing.

Gracie bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done!

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Gracie thows a big elbow that misses, also allowing Bogan to regain full guard.

and Gracie counters with a shoot takedown. Bogan fights it but they end up in guard.
Gracie throws a strike but Bogan rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
Bogan controls from within his opponent's guard.
Gracie is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Gracie looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Bogan passes into side control.

Gracie tries to bench press Bogan off him but Bogan keeps the position.
Bogan stands up and beckons Gracie to his feet.

Bogan swings and misses with a shot to the body
and Gracie counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Bogan!
Bogan tries to lock up and control but Gracie gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

Gracie throws a sloppy strike and Bogan uses the opportunity to reverse the position! A bit of a scramble here and Bogan has ended up in Gracie's guard.
Gracie doesn't do any damage with a couple of strikes from the bottom.

Bogan wants to stand but Gracie is controlling his posture from full guard.
Bogan is breathing heavily.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Gracie is on top in guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Gracie drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Bogan dives on top into guard.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Gracie had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Bogan is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Gracie Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Bogan's back instead.
Bogan is trying to shake Gracie off. He's managed it and has hopped back to his feet! Gracie won't be happy about giving up the dominant position.

Bogan looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Chuck Gracie is winning the standup battle so far.
Bogan looks to land a combination. Gracie sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.
Gracie dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Bogan. That did some damage!
Gracie shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.
Bogan bucks up and throws Gracie to the side - he's got back to his feet. Great escape!

and Gracie connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.

Gracie shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Gracie was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

Bogan lands with an uppercut that bounces Gracie off the cage and back into rage.

Gracie dives in and grabs Bogan's left leg, looking for a takedown. Bogan pushes down on Gracie's head and hops out.

A bone on bone clash there as Bogan blocks the leg kick.
Gracie tries to close the distance and clinch but Bogan swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Bogan bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
And that's the end of the fight!
That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Chuck Gracie.
Well Gracie has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
