Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Ali Rakhivokov (ranked 5478 p4p, 25544 weight class) and Sage Hayes (ranked 523 p4p, 572 weight class). Sage Hayes has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Ali Rakhivokov! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Sage Hayes! The judges for this bout are Aleksei Zolotukhin, Viktor Lagutenko and Dmitry Maklakov.
 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A head kick misses from Hayes. Rakhivokov tries to counter with a takedown but Hayes is quick to defend against it. Hayes delivers a nice body kick. Hayes throws a nice looking combination but Rakhivokov bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Hayes gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Rakhivokov to score an easy takedown into full guard.
Rakhivokov drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Rakhivokov jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Hayes is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Hayes is working an open guard so Rakhivokov takes the opportunity to get back to his feet. Hayes slaps away a takedown attempt from Rakhivokov, before circling back to the center of the mat.
 That's one minute gone in the round. Rakhivokov shoots for a takedown but Hayes saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. A head kick misses from Rakhivokov. Rakhivokov shoots in but Hayes avoids the takedown attempt easily. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Ali Rakhivokov. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Hayes rushes Rakhivokov and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. Rakhivokov jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Hayes walks away with a smile on his face. Rakhivokov gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. Rakhivokov keeps the fight on the outside.
Hayes closes the distance and clinches. Hayes effectively controlling the action here. Hayes gets underhooks to prevent Rakhivokov's takedown attempt.
Hayes pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Rakhivokov walks into a straight right hand from Hayes.
 That's two minutes gone in the round. Rakhivokov shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Hayes defends it nicely. Hayes is loading up here, looking for a big counter of his own.
Hayes clinches up against the cage. Hayes is leaning against Rakhivokov and scores with a nice uppercut to the body.
Rakhivokov jumps guard.
Hayes wants to stand but Rakhivokov is controlling his posture from full guard. Rakhivokov is adopting a defensive guard.
 That's three minutes gone in the round.
Hayes is posturing up here but Rakhivokov has hold of an arm and he's gone for an armbar! Hayes tries to roll out but it's too tight and Hayes has to tap! Slick submission there by Rakhivokov!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:35 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Ali Rakhivokov!
