Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Dick Brower (ranked 3728 p4p, 4658 weight class) and Richard Nicholas (ranked 400 p4p, 442 weight class). Brower comes to the cage accompanied by Bone Cracker/ Shocore. Nicholas has chosen POWER - Kanye West as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Dick Brower! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Richard Nicholas! The judges for this bout are James Atkins, Colin Fotheringham and James Glass.
 The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nicholas shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Nicholas was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. Brower regains half guard. Brower is looking to improve his position.
Nicholas stands up from half guard... He's had enough of that ground malarky for the time being. Richard Nicholas seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Brower tries to keep at a distance but Nicholas has taken the fight into the clinch.
Nicholas jumps guard and drags Brower to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back. Nicholas keeping full guard, as Brower tries to pass. Brower is looking to work some ground and pound but Nicholas has wrist control. Nicholas keeping moving, preventing Brower from controlling successfully. Brower won't allow Nicholas to sweep him here. Brower has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Nicholas wants to control the position but Brower says "no thanks buddy" and passes to half guard. Brower sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Nicholas defending well though.
 That's one minute gone in the round. Brower not landing any meaningful shots this time. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Brower thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. Brower with the ground and pound but Nicholas uses the opportunity to regain guard. Brower throwing strikes but missing. Nicholas not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Brower trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Brower looking to sit in guard and control but Nicholas gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Nicholas won't allow Brower to sweep him here.
Brower has his foot on Nicholas's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Nicholas works his way back into a safe position though.
Brower is working an open guard so Nicholas takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.
Nicholas gets a double leg takedown into Brower's guard. Nicholas wanted to stand there but Brower had control of the position.
Brower escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Nicholas gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
 That's two minutes gone in the round.
 The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now. Brower working for a triangle but Nicholas defends it easily.
Nicholas wanted to stand there but Brower had control of the position.
Brower looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.

The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Nicholas stands up from guard. Let's bang!

Nicholas gets a double leg takedown into Brower's guard. Nicholas trying to stand up but can't free himself from Brower's guard. Brower working a defensive guard here.
Brower is working an open guard so Nicholas takes the opportunity to get back to his feet. Brower cracks Nicholas with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd. Brower is looking light on his feet compared to last time was saw him fight.
Nicholas throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Brower was covering up waiting for the punch and Nicholas finishes the takedown easily into guard. Nicholas looks winded!
Nicholas gets to his feet - Brower follows without any prompting. Brower scores with a hook to the body. Nicholas takes a step back and tries to catch his breath. Donk. Brower catches Nicholas right on the button with a cross.
Nicholas fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Brower to the ground. Nicholas is now in Brower's guard.
 That's four minutes gone in the round.
Nicholas gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.
Brower gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Nicholas to score an easy takedown into full guard. Nicholas wanted to stand there but Brower had control of the position. Brower lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.
 Nicholas told us pre-fight that he has been working on his escapes in training. Let's see if he can call on some of his new skills to get back to his feet. Nicholas is trying to control the position but Brower postures up. Nicholas tries to land a sweep but no joy. Brower trying to move into half guard but instead Nicholas has managed to sweep!

Brower has managed to work for a loose triangle. I think Nicholas should be able to defend this one pretty easily though. Oh, Brower has tightened it up now! Nicholas should have reacted faster there - he's in big trouble and yes, he's tapped out! This one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:57 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle). Dick Brower! In his post fight interview, Dick Brower started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
