Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Brutus Hayes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Anatoly Kazimir (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kazimir has chosen Enae Volare Mezzo as his entrance music. Brutus Hayes has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

With a record of 2 - 5 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Brutus Hayes!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Anatoly Kazimir!
The judges for this bout are Viktor Lagutenko, Konstantin Menshow and Igor Prikhodko.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hayes throws a hard body shot but it just misses.

Hayes clinches up with Kazimir and pushes him back against the cage.

Kazimir is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

Kazimir drops back looking for a leg! Hayes is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Hayes manages to kick Kazimir off! Kazimir jumps back into Hayes's guard.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Kazimir drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Hayes manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Kazimir has Hayes in his guard.

Hayes escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Kazimir gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Kazimir thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

Kazimir drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Kazimir jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Hayes is trying to control the position from the bottom.

Hayes working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Kazimir doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Kazimir manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Kazimir is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

Kazimir postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Hayes is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Kazimir, into his guard.

Hayes cracks Kazimir with a big right hand but Kazimir just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.

Hayes closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Kazimir tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Hayes wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
Kazimir is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.

Hayes is sitting in close to Kazimir's body. Kazimir has gone for a guillotine from the bottom. Oh damn, that looks pretty tight! Hayes is panicking - it looks like this one could be all over! Yes, Hayes is tapping! That was a very nice submission by Kazimir.
