Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Tyson Hargrave (ranked 1164 p4p, 1863 weight class) and Frankie Mir (ranked 102 p4p, 152 weight class). Hargrave's entrance music is Mastodon - High Road. A fine choice. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 13 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Tyson Hargrave!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 20 - 17 - 1, fighting out of Los Angeles, Frankie Mir!
The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Percy O'Donnell and Don Winkell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mir uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Hargrave.
Hargrave throws out a loose jab but Mir uses good head movement to avoid it.
Hargrave checks a leg kick nicely.
A counter left hand to the body from Hargrave misses its target.
Hargrave avoids a punch combination nicely.
A jab from Hargrave does it's job there.
Mir uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Hargrave.
Mir steps in looking to clinch after the strikes miss from Hargrave.

Hargrave stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Mir swivels though and keeps the full guard.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
Hargrave looks to score with a jab to the body but Mir is just out of range.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Mir! But no joy.

Mir shoots in for a takedown but Hargrave shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

Mir takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
Tyson Hargrave seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Hargrave throws a hook but Mir avoids it easily.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Mir is defended easily by Hargrave.

With the fighters clinched against the cage, Hargrave creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.

Mir has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.

Hargrave throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Mirs head.

Mir dives in and grabs Hargrave's left leg, looking for a takedown. Hargrave pushes down on Mir's head and hops out.
Hargrave looks to land a left hand but Mir moved out of range nicely.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Hargrave has his foot on Mir's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Mir works his way back into a safe position though.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Mir accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Mir has gone for a leg lock! Hargrave slips out almost immediately though and dives into Mir's guard.

Mir shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Mir was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Hargrave, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

After the fight, Tyson Hargrave was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
