Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Richard Hall (ranked 574 p4p, 1889 weight class) and Jonathas Araujo (ranked 56 p4p, 168 weight class). Jonathas Araujo has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the featherweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 44 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Richard Hall! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 10 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Jonathas Araujo! The judges for this bout are Steve Smith, Elvis Blanc and Trevor Gratis.
 The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hall darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. Hall is stalling here. Araujo is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Hall seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Araujo has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work. Hall's coaches at have been working on his defensive grappling in preparation for this fight so let's see if he can get out of this tricky position. Araujo tries to advance to mount but can't. Hall is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard. Hall tries to roll over but Araujo keeps him under control. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Araujo passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Hall! Araujo avoids the attempt from Hall to control.
 That's one minute gone in the round. Araujo is stalling here but it's allowed Hall to get half guard.
Hall tries to get to full guard but Araujo has control of the leg. Hall trying to get back to full guard but Araujo takes advantage of the position and moves to full mount! Hall tries to hold on but Araujo pushes him away. Araujo is trying to take his opponent's back.

 That's two minutes gone in the round. Hall breaks Araujo's hooks off and manages to turn into his guard.
Araujo managing to control the position. Hall trying to control the position from guard on top but Araujo is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Araujo wants to sweep but no luck. Hall looking to sit in guard and control but Araujo gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Araujo advances to half guard. Araujo is thwarting Hall's attempts to control the position. Araujo is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount! Hall sneaks a leg under to get to half guard.

Hall is defending against the submission attempts here by Araujo.
Araujo is pressing down on Hall's thigh, looking to free his foot. Hall is holding on for now. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Jonathas Araujo dominated that round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Araujo looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. Hall is looking to reverse the position. Hall is trying to control Araujo's posture but Araujo avoids it.

Araujo is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Hall is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

A relieved looking Jonathas Araujo thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
