Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mr Sandman (ranked 1033 p4p, 2463 weight class) and Darthos Brigand (ranked 147 p4p, 299 weight class). Mr Sandman has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
The fighters circle momentarily. Brigand darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.

It looks like Mr Sandman has been cut.
Sandman throws a hook but Brigand blocks it.
Brigand swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made.

Sandman has closed the distance and engaged Brigand in a clinch.
We've been hearing reports that Sandman has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.

Sandman wants the takedown. Brigand is fighting it off but Sandman persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Brigand's guard against the ropes.

You can see the frustration on Brigand's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
