Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Helen Salvacion (ranked 23280 p4p, 23304 weight class) and Tapad Amiga (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Helen Salvacion has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 50 - 63 - 10, fighting out of Las Vegas, Helen Salvacion!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 37 - 78 - 5, fighting out of Las Vegas, Tapad Amiga!
The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Gwen Towbar and Robert Twigg.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight.
Salvacion feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Amiga can't keep his opponent in guard - Salvacion advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Amiga is positioning himself well to prevent Salvacion advancing to mount.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Salvacion is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.
The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Amiga shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Salvacion defends it nicely.

Amiga looks like he wanted to counter with a high kick but didn't throw it.

Salvacion has control of Amiga's left arm, preventing Amiga from doing any damage.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Amiga seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.

That was a close round but I would say that Helen Salvacion will probably get the nod.
That's time! Salvacion's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Salvacion tries to score a power double leg takedown but Amiga sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Salvacion somewhat.
Amiga fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Salvacion sprawls well initially but Amiga persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

Amiga seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.

We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Salvacion is not content to let Amiga control the position.

Nice body kick from Amiga.
A slapping body kick lands there for Amiga.
Amiga takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?
Salvacion lands with a nice body kick.

A telegraphed takedown attempt from Salvacion is defended easily by Amiga.
Salvacion moves out of range of the body kick.

No luck for Amiga with that takedown attempt.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Tapad Amiga showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!
Amiga closes the distance and clinches up with Salvacion, looking for a takedown. Amiga pushes Salvacion against the cage but Salvacion circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Amiga.
Amiga throws a body kick but he wasn't in range.
Salvacion jinks towards his opponent looking like he wants to counter with a mid kick but doesn't commit.

Salvacion stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Amiga swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Amiga just manages to avoid a counter high kick fromSalvacion.
Helen Salvacion has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Tapad Amiga.
Salvacion shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Amiga as he jumps to the side.
Amiga replies with a solid counter kick to the body but Salvacion blocks it well.

Helen Salvacion showed his dominance in that final round.
