Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Jason Summers (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ben Kenobi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Summers comes to the cage accompanied by You're Going Down. The key to victory for Jason Summers has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Jason Summers!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Ben Kenobi!
The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, and Jack Bonds.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Kenobi scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.

Kenobi working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
Summers gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard.
Kenobi throws a strike but Summers avoids it easily and moves to full guard.

Kenobi stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Summers swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Summers is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Kenobi really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Summers. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Kenobi sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Summers's guard.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Kenobi misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Kenobi is defended easily by Summers.

Summers shoots in looking for a takedown. Kenobi tries to sprawl out of it but Summers keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Kenobi manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

and Kenobi counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Summers!

Summers's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up.
The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Kenobi cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Ben Kenobi comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Kenobi has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
