Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
The fighters circling - Whelan throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Roberson gets tackled into the cage by Whelan. Whelan maintains the clinch.

Whelan clinches up with Roberson and pushes him back against the cage.

A frustrated look appears on Roberson's face as he tries to break the clinch.
Whelan lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Roberson backwards.
Whelan tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Roberson avoids it.
Roberson escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Roberson throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Whelan tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Roberson manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
The fight stays on the outside here - Whelan looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
We've been informed that Whelan has been working hard on his conditioning in the buildup to the fight.
Whelan steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Roberson.

Roberson throws a nice looking combination but Whelan bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Whelan moves in looking to clinch but Roberson pushes him off.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Roberson throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Roberson pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Whelan back to the cage. Roberson follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Cash Roberson will probably get the nod.
That's time! Roberson's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

Whelan is rocked!
Whelan walks into a straight right, dropping him to the canvas! Roberson swarms him and finishes the fight with a hail of punches! What a brutal finish!
