Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Tim Holmberg (ranked 2710 p4p, 2889 weight class) and Tyrion Slamister (ranked 314 p4p, 331 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 4 - 5 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Tim Holmberg! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 1 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Tyrion Slamister! The judges for this bout are Anthony Taglia, Joseph Jones and Eddie Farnsworth.
 The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Holmberg drives through with a takedown into Slamister's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position. Holmberg won't allow Slamister to sweep him here. Slamister manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Holmberg manages to get himself to full guard.
Holmberg thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage. Holmberg controlling the position. Slamister trying to control the position from guard on top but Holmberg is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Slamister looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights. Holmberg will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Holmberg bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Slamister's guard.
Slamister is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Holmberg with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal. Slamister keeping moving, preventing Holmberg from controlling successfully. Holmberg pushes down on Slamister's leg and manages to get into half guard. Holmberg prevents Slamister from improving his position. Holmberg lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears. Holmberg looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Slamister with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. Slamister trying to control here.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Holmberg lands a nice short elbow. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Holmberg winds up and cracks Slamister with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
 That's two minutes gone in the round. Holmberg drops an elbow to the side of Slamister's head. Holmberg scoring with strikes to the body and head. Slamister wants to improve his position but Holmberg is controlling well.
Holmberg lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Holmberg slips a nice elbow through Slamister's hands, connecting with Slamister's forehead. Slamister taking some punishment here, with Holmberg in his half guard.
Slamister looking for submissions from an awkward position here. Holmberg lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Holmberg connects with a nice short shot to Slamister's temple. Holmberg slips a nice elbow through Slamister's hands, connecting with Slamister's forehead. Slamister moves into full guard.
Holmberg is fighting to break Slamister's control of his arms but Slamister is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.

Holmberg advances position into side control! Slamister tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Holmberg wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. Holmberg lands some shots froms side control. Slamister gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard. Slamister trying to control from the bottom.
Holmberg lands strikes from half guard. Holmberg takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists. Nice strikes from Holmberg there.

Slamister is looking to control Holmberg's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Slamister avoid being mounted? Holmberg lands strikes from half guard. Holmberg scores with a big shot! Slamister's head bounced off the canvas with a huge thud! More strikes land and the referee has jumped in to save Slamister! He was hurt real bad - good stoppage!
