The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Smith is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Smith fails with the takedown.
Smith is looking to clinch but Mferi is avoiding it.
Mferi wants to take advantage of his opponent's missed offense by moving into the clinch.
Smith tries to clinch up but Mferi circles away and keeps his distance.
Mferi swung with a counter punch to the body but it didn't connect.
Mferi keeps the fight on the outside.
A left lands for Mferi.
Mferi swats away the attempt to clinch by Smith.
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Smith.
Smith throws a leg kick
letting Mferi counter with a right hand.
Mferi scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Smith tries to clinch there but Mferi circles away.
Mferi lands a big right hand that sends Smith crashing to the mat! Mferi stays standing though and waves Smith back to his feet!
Smith is rocked!
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Smith walks right into a perfectly timed right hook and goes down hard! He's out cold! The ref cradles Smith limp body while Mferi jumps on to the cage and waves to the roaring crowd. Wow that was just a brutal knockout!
