Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Chris Rogers (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Isiah Kemp (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters really staring eachother down here, as Isiah Kemp enters the cage!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Chris Rogers! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Isiah Kemp! The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Frank Dennis and Alan Glass.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kemp wants to clinch up but Rogers keeps it at a distance. Rogers keeping at a good range here, avoiding a leg kick.
Kemp shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Rogers defends it nicely. Kemp throws a leg kick but Rogers checks it. No luck for Rogers with that takedown attempt. Isiah Kemp seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Rogers swats away the attempt to clinch by Kemp. Rogers misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Rogers decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. Rogers looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Kemp defends it well. Kemp moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard. Rogers pushes down on Kemp's leg and manages to get into half guard. Rogers is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.

Kemp has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Rogers is working away from the top position though. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Kemp looks to land a combination but Rogers avoids it well. Kemp misses with a wild combination.
Kemp is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Rogers will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Chris Rogers. That's going to take a lot out of him.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Kemp misses with a wild body shot. Rogers shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Kemp defends it nicely. Rogers has a takedown stuffed. Kemp misses with a low kick. Kemp rushes Rogers and presses him up against the cage. Kemp prevents the takedown attempt.
Kemp breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

That was a close round but I would say that Chris Rogers will probably get the nod. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Kemp throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Kemp lands a head kick. Rogers smiles back at him and beckons him forward. Kemp throws a right and a left that both miss. Kemp fails to land with a series of punches.
Kemp thows a body shot but no joy. Kemp just misses with a punch to the body.
Kemp shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Rogers counters with a shoot takedown. Kemp fights it but they end up in guard. Rogers thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Both fighters really going for it on the ground here! Rogers cracks Kemp with a solid left hand. Kemp wants to stand and escape but Rogers is having none of it. Rogers trying to control but Kemp is working from the bottom. Rogers preventing the sweep.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kemp keeping full guard, as Rogers tries to pass. Rogers stopping the sweep attempt from Kemp. Kemp is breathing heavily. Rogers wants to control from the top but Kemp keeps moving.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Kemp rushes Rogers and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. Rogers tries to pull guard but Kemp won't allow it.

Rogers keeps control of Kemp as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks. Kemp drops down looking for an ankle pick but Rogers pulls his leg out and moves away.

That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Kemp fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Kemp thows a leg kick but Rogers checks it and Rogers counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Kemp! Rogers scoring with strikes but Kemp is staying in there. Rogers is in the full mount, landing strikes. Kemp is in all sorts of trouble here.
Rogers has hold of Kemp's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Kemp manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
Kemp tries to get back to half guard but can't. Rogers looking for an armbar but decides to keep the dominant position instead. A nice elbow there by Rogers. Kemp is squirming around, avoiding Rogers's attempts to control the action. Kemp is desperately trying to improve his position but Rogers has a good base and remains in mount.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Rogers is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Kemp can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
Rogers with a couple of short strikes. Kemp tries to lock up and control but Rogers gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. Rogers is working for a guillotine from mount but Kemp frees his head quite easily.
Kemp swinging wildly from the bottom but he's not landing. Rogers looking to control but Kemp is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. Rogers prevents Kemp from getting the reversal. That's four minutes gone in the round. Rogers in mount throwing good strikes here, bouncing his opponent's head off the canvas.
Chris Rogers overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Rogers tries to control but Kemp wriggling away. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Rogers with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.

Chris Rogers dominated that second round. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! This is the final round!
Kemp throws a combination that misses and Rogers counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Kemp's guard now. Kemp is looking to stand up but Rogers isn't so interested in that idea. Rogers trying to control but Kemp is working from the bottom. Kemp lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Rogers! Kemp is landing with some decent strikes but Rogers is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue. Kemp trying to control but he's not successful this time. Kemp takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Rogers wants to hold on but Kemp pushes him away. Rogers regains half guard. Rogers slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kemp is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but Rogers has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. Kemp is looking to defend but Rogers has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Kemp! Rogers pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Kemp taps out and this one is all over!
