The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Roddick throws a head kick that looked like it stung.
Torres jabs away that one connects to the head of his opponent.
Roddick closes the distance and clinches up with Torres, looking for a takedown. Roddick pushes Torres against the cage but Torres circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Torres uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Roddick.
Roddick misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Roddick shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Torres pinned against the cage. Torres gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Roddick looks for a takedown but Torres sprawls well.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Mirko Roddick. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Torres is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Roddick doesn't manage to clinch there - Torres circles away.

Roddick avoids a low kick by using good footwork.
Torres slaps away a takedown attempt from Roddick, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Torres rushes Roddick with punches - Roddick moves straight backwards instead of circling and gets clipped by the second strike... and the third... and the fourth! Oh, Roddick goes down! Torres follows up with more strikes and the ref steps in to end the bout!
