Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Kotaro Asakura (ranked 1538 p4p, 1177 weight class) and Little Bandit (ranked 102 p4p, 80 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Asakura might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Venom by $ B. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 20 - 14 - 0, fighting out of New York, Kotaro Asakura!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 14 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Little Bandit!
The judges for this bout are Ian Loll, Elvis Blanc and Gregory Folan.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Asakura misses with a looping left.
Asakura works the jab nicely.
Bandit looks to land a right hand but Asakura moved out of range.
Asakura throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Asakura thows a leg kick but Bandit checks it
and Bandit counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
It looks like Kotaro Asakura has been cut.
Asakura looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
A slow jab from Bandit misses its intended target.
Bandit on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.

Bandit throws out a counter right but Asakura avoids it with no problem.

Bandit told us pre-fight that he has been working on his escapes in training. Let's see if he can call on some of his new skills to get back to his feet.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Asakura is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
Bandit is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Asakura is aware though and is defending well.

Bandit working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Asakura doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Asakura manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Bandit has his foot on Asakura's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Asakura works his way back into a safe position though.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Asakura got a little sloppy there for a moment and Bandit has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Asakura has managed to get both his arms back between Bandit's legs - danger averted.
Asakura has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
Bandit had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Asakura defends it easily.
Bandit has scooted to the edge of the canvas and used the cage to get back to his feet. Asakura has stuck on his opponent and is forcing him back against the cage.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Asakura throws an overhand right that drops Bandit like a sack of potatoes! Asakura dives in to finish the fight with more strikes and this one is all over!

After winning the bout, Kotaro Asakura thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
