Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Dexter Morgan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tupac Fashur (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Morgan comes to the cage accompanied by Say goodbye. Tupac Fashur has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Morgan defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Fashur.
Morgan tries to clinch but Fashur moves out of range.

Fashur bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Morgan gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard.
Morgan wants to get back to his feet.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Morgan is trying to control but can't.
Morgan is looking to improve his position.
Morgan missing with punches from the bottom.
Morgan tries to strike from the bottom but it doesn't land.
Morgan is staying active underneath Fashur, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Fashur misses with a takedown attempt - Morgan sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Fashur looks gassed!

Morgan clinches.

Fashur manages to pull guard.
Morgan advances to half guard.
Morgan thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Fashur's head.

Morgan is working for a kimura but Fashur is defending it quite comfortably.
Fashur won't allow Morgan to pass to mount.
Morgan takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.
Fashur tries to kick Morgan off but Morgan keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
Morgan throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.

Morgan looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Fashur with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

Morgan is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Morgan thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
Fashur is looking to escape.

Morgan is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Fashur defends it well.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Morgan is working for a submission of some sort.
Morgan is looking to take a break and control but Fashur is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.

Morgan is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Fashur tries to get to full guard but Morgan has control of the leg.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Fashur is trying to stand back up but Morgan is controlling him

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Morgan has a takedown stuffed.
Tupac Fashur seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Morgan misses with a hook.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Morgan shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Morgan showed some decent athleticism there.
Morgan has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Dexter Morgan dominated that round.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

and Morgan counters with a takedown into side control.
Fashur manages to get one leg in to regain half guard.

Fashur is defending against the submission attempts here by Morgan.
Fashur works his way to full guard. Good work.
Fashur striking off his back but it's not causing Morgan any problems.
Morgan trying to control the position from guard on top but Fashur is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Morgan is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Fashur is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.

Morgan is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Fashur is trying to control the position from the bottom.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Morgan throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Fashur.
Morgan misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Fashur.

Morgan closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

Morgan is working to tighten is grip on Fashur's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Fashur has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Morgan is really squeezing tight and eventually Fashur passes out! Morgan breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!
