Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Gerald Weis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mika Venom (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Weis comes to the cage accompanied by Bitter and then Some. Mika Venom is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Venom closes the distance and clinches up with Weis, looking for a takedown. Venom pushes Weis against the cage but Weis circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Weis fails to land with a series of punches.
Weis wants to clinch up but Venom keeps it at a distance.

Weis instigates a clinch.
Venom tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Weis just stands there and leans against the cage.

Weis wants the takedown. Venom is fighting it off but Weis persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Venom's guard against the cage.

Venom had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Weis is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Venom Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Weis's back instead.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Weis does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.

Weis walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Venom checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for leaving it all in the cage!
