Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Adams manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Boets on his heels. He'll look to pass Boets's guard now, I'm sure.

In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Adams working his ground and pound in the gym. So far it seems to be working well.

It looks like Adams might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Adams tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.

Boets is bucking up trying to escape but Adams cracks him with another couple of good strikes.
The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Adams cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!

Boets is rocked!

Adams looking for an armbar but decides to keep the dominant position instead.
Adams breaks from Boets's wrist control and lands an elbow.
Oh Boets is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Adams loads up on a couple of big shots to the head that have Boets scrambling to escape. He can't get free though and several more unanswered shots from Adams land to the head. The referee has no choice but to stop the fight. Adams stands and salutes the crowd.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:58 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Smash Adams!
