Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 17 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Jesse Kim!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 7 - 1, fighting out of Los Angeles, Akamaru Jackson!
The judges for this bout are Roosa Järviläinen, Anni Minnemäki and Johanna Lukiainen.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Jackson drops Kim with a nice combination! Jackson dives into Kim's guard, looking to finish!

It looks like Jesse Kim has been cut.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Jackson slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.

Kim looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Jackson makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Jackson not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
Let's hope that Jackson has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

Kim can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Jackson controls the pace.

Jackson is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

Jackson stands up over Kim, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.

Jackson works a leg free and moves into half guard.
Jackson content to control rather than advance.
Jackson seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.
Jackson lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.
Jackson is nestled in close to Kim, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Jackson slips a nice elbow through Kim's hands, connecting with Kim's forehead.
The referee calls for the fighters to work.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Akamaru Jackson dominated that round.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare each other down, ready to get back to the action.

Jackson connects with a stiff jab that staggers Kim - oh and he follows up with a huge uppercut that knocks him out cold! Man, that was brutal!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:05 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Akamaru Jackson!
Akamaru Jackson got down on his knees post fight and begged the management for a title shot. 'Please, I want that title shot so bad! Give it to me!'
