Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Tyler Elliot (ranked 2373 p4p, 2310 weight class) and Charles Texiera (ranked 167 p4p, 163 weight class). Charles Texiera will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Texiera closes this distance looking for a takedown but Elliot circles away.
Texiera closes the distance and clinches up with Elliot, looking for a takedown. Texiera pushes Elliot against the cage but Elliot circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Texiera escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Elliot gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Elliot wants to control from the top but Texiera keeps moving.

Texiera is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Elliot is aware though and is defending well.
Elliot is pushing down on Texiera's leg trying to pass to half guard. Texiera is fighting to maintain full guard but Elliot has managed to sneak the leg through.

Texiera doesn't succeed with the takedown

and Elliot counters by moving into the clinch.
Elliot is pushing Texiera up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word.
Texiera has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Elliot avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.
