The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bryant shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Dawson pinned against the cage. Dawson gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Dawson is trying to avoid his opponent's strikes and get into the clinch.
Dawson stuffs the takedown attempt from Bryant. Bryant gets slowly back to his feet.

Bryant tries to sprawl but Dawson drives through with a takedown into half guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
