Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Richard Long (ranked 5853 p4p, 3918 weight class) and Piotr Astasius (ranked 473 p4p, 386 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Piotr Astasius!
The judges for this bout are Chad Campbell, David Schapiro and Steve Montenegro.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Astasius throws a looping overhand right but Long ducks down to avoid it.
Long uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Astasius.
Long takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.
We've been told by Long's head coaches at Final Mile that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
Astasius throws a body punch but Long moves out of range.
Long throws a quick counter kick to the body but Astasius avoids it.
Long scores with a nice body kick.
Long misses with a low kick.

Astasius lets it all go there with a big combo counter but none of the punches connected.
Long has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.

A quick uppercut on the inside from Astasius.
Long is leaning against Astasius and scores with a nice uppercut to the body.
Long slows down the pace here.
Kneeeeees! The crowd are calling for knees to the body. Long obliges.
Astasius misses with some punches.
Long is pushing Astasius up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word.
Long creates a bit of space for himself and sneaks an elbow through Astasius's defenses.

Long with a knee to the head.
That has opened up Piotr Astasius's cut even more.
Long unloads a knee to the mid-section. Astasius lets out a prehistoric sounding urrrrgh.

Long's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.
Long gets a warning from the ref for wasting time.
Astasius goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
A head punch on the inside from Astasius fails to land.
The pace really dropping off here, momentarily.
Long lands an elbow inside that Astasius shrugs off.
Long lands a nice knee to the body.
Long holding his opponent close, against the cage.

Long tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Astasius's elbow.
Astasius swings wildly with an uppercut but Long uses good head movement to avoid it.
Long lands an elbow inside.
The cut above Piotr Astasius's eye is starting to cause him problems now.
Long blocks a punch to the side of the head.
Astasius goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
The two fighters are working to gain dominance in the clinch.
Long blocks a couple of punches on the inside.

Piotr Astasius's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Long is stalling here. The referee will be looking to step in if he doesn't pick up the pace.
Astasius misses with a short punch on the inside.
Long blocks a punch to the side of the head.
Long unloads a knee to the mid-section.
Long connects with a nasty looking knee right to Astasius's face.
The referee calls the doctor in to look at Piotr Astasius's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
