Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Big Zhang (ranked 4106 p4p, 3089 weight class) and Jagger Bright (ranked 0 p4p, 371 weight class). Zhang comes to the cage accompanied by Xue Hua Piao Piao. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bright closes the distance and lands a one-two.
Big Zhang seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
A cross from Bright lands.
Zhang scores with the left hand. Bright knows he should have avoided that one.
Bright throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.

Zhang gets tackled into the cage by Bright. Bright maintains the clinch.
Bright stalling.
Zhang can't break the clinch.
Zhang slowing the pace effectively.
Bright looking to throw knees to the head but Zhang is blocking nicely.
Bright working Zhang over with knees to the body.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Bright decides to pull guard.
Zhang trying to control but Bright is working from the bottom.

Bright has his feet on Zhang's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work.
Bright fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Zhang avoids it really well and circles away.
As Bright tries to get set, Zhang tries to push him back and clinch up but Bright manages to avoid the attempt.

Zhang chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Bright can pounce on him.
Zhang shoots in but no luck this time.

Bright darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Zhang pushes Bright off but Bright dives into side control.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Zhang is trying to improve his position.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Bright wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Zhang, who protects the arm well.
Zhang tries to bench press Bright off him but Bright keeps the position.
Bright trying to control the position but Zhang is working away.

Bright decides to stand back up.

Zhang takes the fight into the clinch.
Bright lands a good knee to the midsection. Zhang won't want to take too many of those.

Zhang tries to pull guard but Bright forces him back to his feet, against the cage.

Bright escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Bright throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Bright connects with a leg kick.
Zhang slaps away a takedown attempt from Bright, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Zhang lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.

It looks like Jagger Bright has been cut.
Zhang throws a combination that misses
and Bright counters with a nice body kick.
Zhang throws a lazy head kick

and Bright counters with a nice double leg into side control. Zhang won't be happy with that.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Bright is looking to take a break and control but Zhang is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Bright controls the position.

Bright decides to stand up, so the ref orders Zhang to his feet.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Bright throws a sloppy head kick and Zhang moves out of range easily.
Zhang throws the kick towards the body but Bright avoids it.
Bright misses with a takedown

and Zhang counters by moving into the clinch.
Big Zhang has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jagger Bright.
Bright looks winded!

Bright escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
A jab from Zhang finds it's way through Bright's defenses.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

That's time! Back to the action!

Bright instigates a clinch.
Zhang tries to break free but Bright pushes him back against the cage.
Bright lands with a short shot to the head.
Bright pressing his opponent against the cage.

Bright breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
No joy there for Bright, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Bright takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.

Zhang sends Bright crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! Zhang is motioning to the referee to let Bright up. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet!

Bright is rocked!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Zhang plants his feet and throws a brutal three punch combo that sends Bright swiftly into unconsciousness! Right, left, right! Boom, boom, boom! Bright face plants, battered and bloodied! He might never be the same again after that finish!
