This TWGC bout is 1 fifteen minute round in the super heavyweight division. Introducing today's competitors. In the red corner, competing out of Tokyo, with a TWGC record of 1 wins and 4 losses; Miami Vice! And in the blue corner, fighting out of New York, with a TWGC record of 32 wins and 67 losses; David McDonald!
The judges for this bout are James Atkins, Phil Schofield and Richard Clark.
The official calls the fighters to the middle and the contest is under way.
McDonald will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Vice has closed the distance and engaged McDonald in a clinch.
Vice gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from McDonald.
McDonald has Vice pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Vice manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.
Miami Vice has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of David McDonald.
McDonald tries to score a body lock takedown but Vice shows good agility there to stay on his feet.

McDonald takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
McDonald can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Vice is looking to escape.
McDonald might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Vice haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.
Vice is desperately trying to improve his position but McDonald has a good base and remains in mount.

David McDonald opened up his post fight interview with a scream to camera that he wants a title shot! Whether he deserves the shot will be up to the management of the organization, so I guess he'll have to wait and see. |
