Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Stella Fella (ranked 3197 p4p, 4530 weight class) and Lukas Haley (ranked 0 p4p, 306 weight class). Lukas Haley acknowledges the crowd's support as he enters the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Stella Fella!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Lukas Haley!
The judges for this bout are Darius Henderson, Steve Erwin and Donatello Bradman.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fella lands a really nice looking cross but Haley seems unphased.
Haley shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Fella as he avoids it easily.
Fella rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Haley moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Haley shoots in looking for a takedown. Fella tries to sprawl out of it but Haley keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Fella manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
We've been hearing reports that Fella has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.
Stella Fella has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Lukas Haley.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Horrible takedown attempt by Haley or perhaps it was just good defense by Fella, which made it look bad.

Fella feints and as Haley raises his hands in defense, Fella changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Fella controls from within his opponent's guard.

Fella got a little sloppy there for a moment and Haley has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Fella has managed to get both his arms back between Haley's legs - danger averted.
Haley really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Fella. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Fella tries to free his leg and advance position but Haley is retaining full guard.
Our spies down at at Tycoon Gym inform us that Haley has really been working on his submissions in the buildup to this fight. Will it pay off?
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Haley can do anything to dispel that myth.
Fella slips nicely into half guard.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Fella in particular looking to stall.

Fella is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Haley defends it well.

Fella seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Haley for as long as he can get away with.

Haley wants to improve his position but Fella is controlling well.

and Fella counters with a shoot takedown. Haley fights it but they end up in guard.

Fella has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.

Fella tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Haley is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Haley is looking to get to half guard.
Haley is breathing heavily.
Fella pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.

Fella is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Haley is surviving well by controlling Fella's body position as best he can.
