Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Eduardo Chavez (ranked 1498 p4p, 2016 weight class) and Tyler Elliot (ranked 112 p4p, 144 weight class). Eduardo Chavez has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Chavez avoids the head kick by Elliot.

Chavez clinches up with Elliot and pushes him back against the cage.
Elliot is trying to break the clinch but Chavez has him pressed against the cage.

Elliot drags the fight down to the ground.
We've been hearing that Chavez has been drilling a lot of ground and pound in training, so let's see if he get the finish.
Elliot is looking to stand up but Chavez isn't so interested in that idea.
Chavez wants to pass the guard but Elliot is keeping the position.
Elliot looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Chavez is working hard here to advance position.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Elliot can't keep his opponent in guard - Chavez advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
Chavez will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Chavez is just content to waste time from the top position. Elliot takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard.

Chavez is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Elliot is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Chavez is controlling him.

Elliot slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

Elliot must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Chavez is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Elliot is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.

Chavez lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.

Elliot really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Chavez. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Elliot fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Chavez manages to avoid it.
Chavez is looking to clinch.
Elliot changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt.

Elliot throws a nice looking combination but Chavez bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

Elliot gets control of Chavez's arms and successfully pulls guard. Elliot will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.

Elliot is trying to stand and escape. In the scramble, Chavez has locked hold of an arm and he's managed to lock on an armbar - Elliot taps out instantly and this one is all over!
