The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Soprano cracks Honda Jr with a good jab.

Soprano goes for a double leg but Honda Jr avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Honda Jr continues to drive forward.
Soprano shoots for a double leg takedown but Honda Jr sprawls well. He's pushed Soprano's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Honda Jr takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.

Soprano swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Honda Jr is now in Soprano's guard. A big mistake from Soprano there, giving up the dominant position!

Soprano working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Honda Jr doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Honda Jr manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
