Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Scotty Bravo (ranked 3305 p4p, 5406 weight class) and Gunner Justice (ranked 361 p4p, 474 weight class). Scotty Bravo has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the welterweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Scotty Bravo!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Gunner Justice!
The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Tiny Johnson and George Francis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Justice has closed the distance and engaged Bravo in a clinch.

Justice pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Justice connects with a nice looking jab.

Justice moves into range and clinches up with Bravo.
Justice slows down the pace here.

Justice gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Justice engaging in some classic timewasting tactics.
Bravo trying to keep a closed guard but Justice is proving a slippery customer.

Bravo is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Bravo is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.
Justice wants to control from the top but Bravo keeps moving.

Bravo has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Justice is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Bravo.
Bravo manages to get back to half guard.

Justice tries to stand but his arm is trapped.
Justice looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.

Bravo makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Bravo.

Bravo working for a triangle but Justice defends it easily.
Justice must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Justice accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Bravo wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.
Justice won't allow Bravo to sweep him here.
Justice is looking to work some ground and pound but Bravo has wrist control.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Justice misses with the body kick

and Bravo counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
Gunner Justice has got the better of the ground game so far.
Bravo thows a huge punch but Justice dodges it nicely.

Justice can't keep his opponent in guard - Bravo advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
Bravo wants to take a breather but Justice is having none of it.

Bravo wants to pass the guard but Justice is defending well.

Bravo is working for a kimura but Justice is defending it quite comfortably.

Justice has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Bravo is working away from the top position though.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.

Bravo looking to pass the half guard. Not this time.
Justice pushes Bravo off looking to stand but Bravo dives back in and keeps control.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up.

Bravo gets caught napping as Justice dives in and scores a takedown. Bravo manages to retain guard.

Justice got a little sloppy there for a moment and Bravo has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Justice has managed to get both his arms back between Bravo's legs - danger averted.
Bravo is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Bravo controlling the pace.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Bravo passes to side control.
Bravo lands a knee to the body and a forearm to the face.
Justice defending against the ground and pound.
Bravo misses with the ground and pound.
Bravo is looking to take a break and control but Justice is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Bravo is staying tight to Justice's torso, preventing him from escaping.
Bravo wants to lay and pray for a moment but Justice keeps working.

Bravo is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Justice is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.
Justice tries to wriggle free to get back to his feet but he's given up his back! Oops.

Justice is displaying good submission defense - not really looking in danger of submitting to the rear naked choke at the moment. That could change in an instant of course if Bravo gets his way!
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Bravo working for a choke but Justice reverses nicely into Bravo 's guard.
Bravo will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Justice throws an elbow that misses. Bravo uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Justice's guard. Nice move by Bravo!

And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare each other down, ready to get back to the action.


Justice is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Bravo's half guard.

Bravo throws some wild stikes that Justice manages to avoid easily.

Bravo avoids the attempt from Justice to control.
Justice takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Justice is looking to get back to his feet - it's going to be hard from this position.

Justice tries to improve his position but Bravo has taken his back! Bravo has a choke - it's sunk in pretty tight... Will Justice tap? No... maybe... yes! He's tapped! Bravo pushes Justice away and gets up to celebrate with his corner!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:50 of round 3, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Scotty Bravo!
