As Renaud backs off Lighter throws a huge counter combo but Renaud manages to avoid it all.
Renaud loads up on a big right hand but Lighter slips the punch.

Lighter gets tackled into the cage by Renaud. Renaud maintains the clinch.
Lighter throws a punch but it's blocked by Renaud.

Renaud closes the distance and clinches up with Lighter, looking for a takedown. Renaud pushes Lighter against the cage but Lighter circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Lighter! But no joy.
Renaud throws a hook to the side of Lighter's head but Lighter sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Lighter looks like he wants to counter punch here.
Enorme Renaud seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Renaud takes a swing at Lighter's ribcage but misses.
Lighter unleashes a big counter combination but Renaud bobs and weaves and avoids any damage.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Renaud is on top in guard.

Renaud postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Renaud won't allow Lighter to sweep him here.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Renaud lands a big elbow from half guard. That looks like it's hurt Lighter quite badly. Lighter pulls Renaud in close trying to recover. Renaud postures up and lands two really hard shots that put Lighter on queer street! The ref takes a look and decides to call an end to the fight! Possibly an early stoppage but Lighter doesn't seem to be complaining too much.
